I’m curious about how folks manage their time for 1:1 donor outreach. Especially for folks who tend to procrastinate or have management responsibilities—how do you make sure it happens?
Do you use any task management tools?
Do you use any scheduling tools you especially like for among sure a visit gets on the calendar?
Tough challenge, and some of the tools need to interface with very “analog” relationships with donors. That being said:
* Boomerang is amazing for scheduling because it suggests times and drops a calendar in the email which the donor can click on. I find it much more respectful than Calendly, which I never used. YMMV
* In some of my shops, I had us program touchpoints (i.e. birthday cards, post-gift thank yous, personal event invites for upcoming events) to make sure that at the very least those were happening. I’d include plenty of invitations to meet/text me/whatever and meetings would come out of those every time. More of a pull strategy, but it beats never getting around to it.
